• Training Tip – Run “Tall”

Run “tall” to avoid lower back pain, particularly on long runs. If you find yourself running in a bent-over position it may be because your hamstrings and / or hip flexors are tight. This pushes your upper body forward and can cause lower back pain. To check on your running form, have a coach watch you run on a track or treadmill, or watch yourself in a full length mirror while running a treadmill. Make sure you stretch your hams and hip flexors regularly and you’ll feel better on the run.
